INSPIRING ERA invites you to join a European online event on 22 October 2026, 14:30–16:30 CEST, organised in collaboration with the EOSC Association.
The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) is a key European initiative supporting Open Science and strengthening the European Research Area. At its heart, the emerging EOSC Federation is connecting research data, services and infrastructures across Europe, making it easier for researchers to discover, access and use resources across borders and disciplines. For researchers, research organisations, funders and policymakers, it has the potential to change how knowledge and research resources are shared and used across Europe.
As the EOSC Federation enters its implementation phase, understanding what it offers is becoming increasingly relevant across the European research and innovation community. This online INSPIRING ERA event will take stock of progress and explore what the Federation means in practice for different parts of the research and innovation community.
Bringing together perspectives from European policy, the EOSC community, EOSC Nodes and research, the event will share practical experiences and emerging lessons from across Europe. It will consider the value the Federation can offer to researchers and research organisations, alongside the opportunities and challenges associated with its continued development and wider uptake across the European Research Area.
The event is aimed at a broad European research and innovation audience, including researchers and research organisations, policymakers, funders, research managers, Open Science and research data professionals, and research infrastructure and e-infrastructure providers.
Organised by INSPIRING ERA in collaboration with the EOSC Association this event is part of a series of online events supporting the implementation of the European Research Area Policy Agenda.
