The POLICY ANSWERS project will conclude with a public final event in Tirana, bringing together policymakers, experts, researchers, and key stakeholders from the Western Balkans and the European Union. The event will provide a space to reflect on the project’s main achievements and to discuss future pathways for strengthening cooperation between the Western Balkans and the European Research Area (ERA).
The programme will showcase the core outcomes of POLICY ANSWERS and their contribution to the Western Balkans Agenda, with a focus on policy dialogue, capacity building, foresight activities, and pilot initiatives. Participants will gain practical insights into how the project has supported alignment of regional priorities, enhanced institutional cooperation, and fostered closer links between research communities and policy actors.
A dedicated panel discussion will examine the policy impact of the project and explore opportunities for deeper and more sustainable engagement with the ERA. Discussions will highlight lessons learned, future cooperation pathways, and the role of evidence-based policymaking in strengthening research and innovation systems across the region. The event will conclude with a study visit to a local research or innovation organisation in Tirana, offering hands-on insight into Albania’s evolving innovation ecosystem.
