Share your Feedback to ERA Policy

Your perspective matters—no matter your role, background, or topic. Share what works, what doesn’t, and what should change in the European Research Area (ERA).

Why your voice matters

Policies shape how research is funded, shared, and rewarded. Real progress needs real experiences—from labs and lecture halls to startups and city halls. Your input helps us turn ERA goals into practical improvements.

That is why we collect real experiences from across Europe’s R&I ecosystem and channel them to ERA policymakers through INSPIRING ERA. Check out the latest feedback, here.

How we use it
  • We collect your insights securely – names and personal details are never shared.
  • We summarise key themes for ERA policymakers – individual voices remain confidential.
  • We share outcomes with the community – your input feeds into events, fact sheets and policy briefs.

Through ERA Action 17, the research managers ecosystem is getting more aligned, more engaged…. research managers and their profession are getting more attention, and hopefully more acknowledgment and reward throughout Europe.

It is often not clear to (even some key) stakeholders, that the Western Balkans are actively integrating into the European Research Area and are all fully associated to Horizon Europe. As non-EU Members they need specific support to e.g. implement several tools and instruments that might more already "normal" for the more advanced countries in the ERA. For example, sound gender equality plans or open science with solid data protection. The ERA Policy Agenda and inclusion of the Western Balkans into the ERA can be a key positive vehicle for enlargement policy and international cooperation.
